Sunday, Feb. 28 was Senior Recognition Night at the Dr. Pepper Star Center in Plano. Pictured here with their parents before the game against the Flower Mound Jaguars are, from top:
The best goalie ever: Paul Hinojo, with his parents Robert and Ceci Hinojo (our fearless treasurer and overall team organizer); Captain Ethan Fox and his hockey mom Trish Richardson;Tony Douglas with Trish, and his other hockey mom/dad, Bobby Gross and Julie Clark; Assistant Captain, Tanner Holubar, and his parents Connie and Mark Holubar; Assistant Captain,Justin Ivy and his parents Mechelle and Dewayne Ivy; Assistant Captain Dylan Nessman, with his parents Paul (team manager) and Stacy Nessman.
These Colts leaders will scatter after graduation. Ethan Fox is considering a spot on the Ole Miss hockey team (and a couple of Texas schools), and he'll explore his options for both college and junior hockey. Justin Ivy will be attending Eastfield College for some business classes while he continues to do really well with his HVAC work. Dylan Nessman reports for the U.S. Army at Fort Benning, Georgia, on June 29, and he will be training to be a field medic and paratrooper. Tanner Holubar will attend Western State College of Colorado and play club hockey while studying radio, TV and film. Tony and Paul have exciting plans as well, which will be added here (or further featured) asap!(Please parents let us know what they're up to!)
These seniors have been friends and team mates for many years. It's going to be hard saying goodbye, but at least we don't have to do that for a while yet.
